This was the venue where lots of the original acts of the day were showcased on numerous bills. Filling the 300 plus seater was not an easy task, we were fortunate to have a couple of great showcase nights, with Offering 74, and Let’s Face It for one evening in particular. This allowed a few more return engagements for the band. I even have in my possession, a live board recording from one of the shows. The original backstage area had a wall section, where lots of bands and recording artist signed, it was like a who’s who. Today, the Buff, won’t even look in your direction unless you are a tribute band

This was an easier place to get into than I originally anticipated. Bob, the booking agent was easy to work with and he gave Silencer a wednesday/thursday deal for $150 a night. So we split the bill on both nights with 2 other bands. That’s how I met Joe Candelario on Wednesday and had Awaken play on Thursday.

The problem was, this was a tough place to draw people. Even Rogue had it’s challenges- and they drew everywhere!
