how do you remember ty longley?

When I think of Ty Longley, I think of a guy who simply wanted to play his guitar and have fun doing it. He and I didn’t have long drawn conversations whenever I saw him play in the cover circuit- nor did I expect that. I remember getting word he got the Great White gig, and when that tragedy in Rhode Island happened, I feared the worst and reports of his death confirmed it. The local papers did a thing on him, but the media is out to profit, we are not. Ty left behind a son, and I feel we are the right forum for him to learn about what his father meant to all of us.

I do feel that those who were responsible for this death were truly remorseful, and I feel that incident needs to be remembered so we can continue to enjoy live music safely.
