This place has it's fans. But I wasn't one of them. To me, the staff would had gotten fired if they tested negative on a drug test. That said, I felt that NIPP offered a fair opportunity for bands to get shots at the Ogden, Bluebird and Gothic if they did well for them at The Lion's Lair. I have no knocks on NIPP whatsoever, but I was completely unimpressed in my one night there. However- I will absolutely concede that there are those who loved it there- and just because I didn't have a good experience there doesn't allow me to keep this place from this archive- because there were enough that have affection for the Lair.
My biggest thing was I only had one show with NIPP, and there wasn't any fault on their part. I didn't deliberately avoid Peter Ore or Jessica: my band had other outlets to get into the Bluebird(Infexious Records Showcase by Bill Terrell) as well as the Ogden and Gothic(Wayne Quigley from Big Q Productions, and easily the nicest promoter in the circuit). So, it was a suprise for me to find out that someone tried to have me killed. LITERALLY. I won't go into specifics but someone tried using Peter Ore to spread one big flat out lie. And I have every intention of getting the truth out on it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
