Ah! The precursor to the Facebook Public Groups…LOL, without picture posts of what you made for dinner. Initially, this was kind of a secret hiding place group, where a small group of us collected to discuss metal music, local, regional, and national. It was very informative, great for network building, and always entertaining. I was introduced to bands like Iced Earth, Lacuna Coil, and Sinergy, when metal music basically went underground. It allowed a lot of up-and-coming groups to network, and showcase on bills together, and led to some amazing events like the Colorado Colossus CD, Ragnarök Festival/CD, the 9/11 benefit concerts, and numerous great shows. However, if I am going to be honest, it was primarily a juvenile metal detention hall, with tons of flames and off-color jokes. Hey, I was one of the instigators…LOL. Guy Kendall (Owner, Administrator) probably spent most of his day banging his head on the wall, due to all our shenanigan off-topic posts. “Every one is a comedian!”

I have no idea how I came across the metal list. I believe Guy from Colorado Springs started it. I also don’t remember much of what we all posted on there. Two things that stick out though: I met a beautiful and incredibly intelligent metalhead named Tiffany through that e-mail list. We dated for a while and remained friends for many years. The second is, I believe a guy named Yuli wrote something after the 9/11 terror attacks praising the terrorists.

After the Silencer/Moore gig at Rock and Jock, in my eyes Jim Moore could do no wrong in my eyes and I decided to let that be known on the e-list. I was man enough to admit that I would share Brittney Spears with him in bed, with her wanting to have us "Hit me one more time". Some people took great offense to this, considering she might not had been of legal age at the time. I’m not ashamed to admit it, I’ve had a bromance with Jim that is true to this day.

I would had accepted Ty’s proposal.
